Designation: General Manager - Wholesale Business

Job Purpose

The General Manager – Wholesale Business will be responsible for driving the company’s wholesale and export operations across global markets, with a strong focus on Africa, CIS countries, and other emerging regions. The role requires strong leadership, strategic business development, and hands-on sales expertise in consumer electronics and small domestic appliances and White goods

The incumbent will lead a team, expand market presence, build sustainable partnerships, and ensure achievement of revenue and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Drive wholesale and export sales for consumer electronics, small domestic appliances and white goods
  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities and distribution partners in Africa, CIS, and other regions.
  • Negotiate and finalize commercial agreements with distributors, wholesalers
  • Develop pricing, product positioning, and market entry strategies to maximize competitiveness.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the wholesale/export sales team.
  • Set clear performance goals and ensure the team achieves sales and profit targets.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.

Market Expansion & Travel

  • Conduct extensive international business travel to meet clients, distributors, and partners.
  • Monitor global market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to identify growth opportunities.
  • Represent the company at trade fairs, exhibitions, and international business forums.

Strategy & Reporting

  • Develop and implement long-term business growth strategies.
  • Optimize business processes to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 15–18 years of experience in wholesale/export business, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in selling consumer electronics and small domestic appliances in international markets.
  • Strong network of distributors and partners in Africa and CIS markets.
  • Extensive business travel experience and ability to adapt to different cultural and market environments.
  • Strong negotiation, leadership, and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (knowledge of French/Russian/Arabic/Persian is an advantage).
