Job summary

Combuzz HR Solutions seeks an experienced General Manager to lead engineering and construction operations in Dubai. You will drive revenue, profitability, and performance, guiding strategic objectives and ensuring delivery excellence across projects.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in engineering/construction with senior leadership experience, strong P&L management, and deep knowledge of project controls, commercial negotiations, and business development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is mandatory.
MBA or relevant Master's degree is preferred.
15+ years of experience in engineering, construction, contracting, or a related industry.
Minimum 6 years in a senior management position such as General Manager, Business Manager, Operations Manager, or equivalent.
Proven experience managing P&L, revenue, profitability, and business operations.
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge.
Experience in project management and project controls.
Proven business development and market expansion experience.
Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Excellent client and stakeholder management capabilities.
Strong understanding of HSE and quality requirements within engineering/construction environments.

Responsibilities

Lead overall business operations and achieve revenue and profitability targets.
Develop and execute business strategies for sustainable growth.
Advise senior management on commercial, operational, and strategic matters.
Oversee project management, project controls, resource planning, and cost management.
Lead major commercial and contractual negotiations.
Identify new business opportunities and support market expansion.
Build and maintain relationships with key clients, consultants, contractors, and business partners.
Monitor business performance and implement corrective actions where required.
Drive organizational development, employee performance, and leadership initiatives.
Strengthen operational processes, controls, policies, and procedures.
Manage business risks and support strategic decision-making.
Maintain high standards of HSE, quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Represent the company in key client and stakeholder meetings.
