Job summary

Combuzz in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced General Manager to lead engineering and construction operations, driving revenue, profitability, and strategic objectives.

The role requires a strong engineering background, extensive business management, project controls, contract negotiations, and leadership across large-scale projects within the engineering/construction sector.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is mandatory.
• MBA or related discipline is preferred.
• 15+ years of overall professional experience in engineering, construction, contracting, or related industry.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a senior management position (Business Manager/General Manager/Operations Manager).
• Strong knowledge of project management and project controls.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and commercial decision-making.
• Strong leadership and employee motivation skills.
• Experience in business development, market expansion, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for achieving the company's budgeted revenue and profit targets.
• Provide strategic leadership to ensure sustainable business growth and profitability.
• Advise owners and senior management on business strategy, commercial matters, and operational performance.
• Develop, review, and implement company processes, policies, and procedures to strengthen controls.
• Establish checks and balances to safeguard objectives and financial performance.
• Lead and motivate employees to foster accountability and high performance.
• Build and maintain relationships across the company and wider group.
• Promote ethics, integrity, accountability, transparency, and professional conduct.
