Job summary

WhizzHR is seeking a Business Development Manager – General Insurance in Dubai to drive new business, build client relationships, and grow the UAE general insurance portfolio.

The role focuses on identifying client needs, offering suitable insurance solutions, and coordinating with insurers to secure favorable terms. You will manage renewals, cross-sell opportunities, and maintain a robust CRM to hit targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in insurance sales/business development, preferably general insurance brokerage.
• Strong UAE market knowledge with corporate/SME network is advantageous.
• Good understanding of general insurance products and brokerage processes.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate and SME clients.
• Identify client insurance requirements and recommend suitable solutions.
• Handle enquiries, quotations, negotiations, renewals, and follow-ups.
• Coordinate with insurers to obtain competitive terms and premiums.
• Drive sales across Property, Liability, Engineering, Marine, Motor Fleet, SME, and other general insurance products.
• Achieve monthly and annual business development and revenue targets.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurate CRM records.
• Develop long-term relationships with clients, insurers, and business partners.
• Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client portfolio.
• Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and insurance products.
• Collaborate with underwriting and operations teams to ensure smooth policy issuance and servicing.
