Job summary

THA by Armonia in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Event Technical Manager for a high-profile conference/exhibition. You will lead the technical delivery of the scenic build, review drawings, ensure safety and compliance, and secure final technical acceptance before handover.

The role runs 15 November to 15 December 2026 plus build/dismantle, is freelance/fixed term, UAE-based applicants preferred, and requires availability for the full build, live show, and dismantle periods.

Qualifications

Proven experience as Technical Manager or Technical Production Manager on large-scale stands or major events.
Strong ability to read and check CAD/shop drawings and structural calculations.
Knowledge of temporary works, floor loadings and safety for event builds.
Experience with RAMS and technical submissions for UAE venues advisable.
Detail-oriented, organized and comfortable working with contractors and venue teams.

Responsibilities

Review and coordinate scenic CAD drawings, plans, elevations and details.
Review structural details, calculations, fixing methods and temporary works.
Assess BOQs, material schedules and mock-ups for buildability and finish.
Coordinate and track technical submissions: drawings, RAMS, certificates and approvals.
Lead snagging and final technical acceptance before handover.
