Job summary

Miral Experiences in the United Arab Emirates is hiring an Entertainment Technical Assistant Manager to coordinate technical setups for live events, manage AV/lighting operations, and oversee a team of technicians. You will plan schedules, oversee contractors, and ensure safety and compliance across productions.

The role requires hands-on expertise with audio/visual gear, show control systems, and strong troubleshooting skills, with a focus on seamless show execution in an amusement park

Qualifications

• Related technical qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Audio Video Lighting, Show control & network maintenance.
• 2+ years’ experience in installation of AVL systems including show control and network.

Responsibilities

Job Description

ROLE SCOPE

Technical Coordination:

• Collaborate with the technical manager to plan and execute technical setups for live events, performances, or shows.
• Assist in coordinating equipment and resource allocation to meet production requirements.
• Liaise with stakeholders for any technical requirements and concerns.
• Create a monthly schedule for the Entertainment Technical team.
• Liaise and coordinate work to be performed by contractors or vendors

Equipment Operation:

• Operate and maintain audio, visual, and lighting equipment during rehearsals and live productions.
• Troubleshoot technical issues as they arise, ensuring minimal disruption to the performance.
• Ensure Standard Operating Procedures are being followed during shows and park operations.

Team Support:

• Assist in the supervision and coordination of technical support staff, including technicians and stage Technicians
• Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure efficient operations.
• Recommend and offer suggestions for the improvement of the Technical Team.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the well-being of all performers and crew.
• Assist in ensuring that all technical operations meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Able to create and review the RAMS.
• Making sure that Entertainment Technical safety certificates are up to date.
• Supervise a team of technical specialists, including technicians, engineers, and stage technicians.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Related Technical Qualifications (e.g., Theater Production, Electrical Engineering, IT networking or similar) or equivalent experience
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Audio Video Lighting, Show control & network Maintenance and operation.
• 2+ years’ Experience in installation of AVL systems including show control and network.
• The knowledge of operating of Entertainment shows systems and show control systems are a must.
• Keen interest in technology. Familiar with latest technologies and implementation.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting.
• Able to adhere to strict timelines.
• Clear understanding of both written and spoken English.
• Ability to understand one line drawings and schematics.
• Able to spend long hours standing if required.
• Possess a firm knowledge of installation tools and have the ability to use them.
• Ability to lift at least 25 kg.Ability to manage a large team of 30.
• Electronics or Electrical Certificate.
• Engineering or college diploma
• Previous experience in working within the amusement park industry is an advantage.
• Preferably worked in live shows and events
• Operated audio and lighting systems for live entertainment
• Component repairs of audio, lighting, and video equipment.
• People person who works well alone and as part of a larger team.
• Self-motivated and wants to get the job done.
• Knowledge of show, automation, and digital signal processing is an advantage.
• Has system integration and design knowledge.
