Job summary

Talent Blueprint FZ LLC seeks an experienced Technical Manager to lead all technical production operations for a festival event in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee audio, video, lighting, LED, and power requirements, ensuring planning, installation, testing, and safe delivery.

This hands-on leadership role requires extensive live-events experience and the ability to coordinate suppliers and on-site teams through installation, operation, and de-rig phases.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead all technical production requirements across audio, video, lighting, LED screens, and power distribution.
• Define technical specifications and brief AV, lighting, LED, and power suppliers.
• Review quotations, production riders, CAD drawings and technical plans.
• Plan power distribution, generator requirements, and electrical infrastructure.
• Develop and manage the technical production schedule from install to de-rig.
• Supervise on-site team and coordinate suppliers and their crews.
• Ensure installations comply with plans, requirements, and safety standards.
• Oversee testing, sound checks, line checks and rehearsals before live shows.
• Lead troubleshooting during live events and coordinate handovers with other teams.
• Monitor delivery to meet deadlines, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Availability: Full-time, on-site for the duration of the contract

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to lead all technical production operations for a festival event in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will oversee audio, video, lighting, LED, and power requirements, ensuring all technical elements are planned, installed, tested, and delivered safely and efficiently.

This is a hands-on technical leadership role requiring strong experience in live events, concerts, festivals, or large-scale productions, with the ability to coordinate technical suppliers and lead on-site teams throughout the installation, live operation, and de-rig phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all technical production requirements across audio, video, lighting, LED screens, and power distribution.
• Define technical specifications and brief AV, lighting, LED, and power suppliers.
• Review and assess technical quotations, production riders, CAD drawings, and technical plans.
• Plan power distribution, generator requirements, and electrical infrastructure.
• Develop and manage the technical production schedule, including installation, testing, rehearsals, show days, and de-rig.
• Supervise the Technical Supervisor and coordinate technical suppliers and their on-site teams.
• Ensure all installations comply with approved technical plans, operational requirements, and safety standards.
• Oversee technical testing, sound checks, line checks, and rehearsals before live operations.
• Lead troubleshooting and resolve technical issues during live shows.
• Coordinate technical handovers with production, staging, and other operational teams.
• Monitor technical delivery to ensure deadlines, quality standards, and safety requirements are met.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Technical Manager, Technical Production Manager, Technical supervisor, or Head of Technical Production.
• Strong background in live events, festivals, concerts, or large-scale entertainment productions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of audio, video, lighting, LED systems, and power distribution.
• Experience managing technical suppliers, contractors, and on-site production teams.
• Ability to interpret CAD drawings, technical riders, equipment specifications, and production plans.
• Strong understanding of technical safety, electrical installations, rigging, and event infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, live-event environment.
• Must be available for the full contract period and able to work on-site in Abu Dhabi.
• Location: Candidates must be based in Abu Dhabi or independently arrange their own accommodation and transport for the full contract period.
• Candidates must be fully self-sufficient and ready to commence on 1 November 2026.
