Job summary

Paires is seeking a Founding AI Engineer to own the agent layer of an AI-first fundraising platform. You will build the core where agents research investors, draft outreach, and carry conversations end to end, plus the matching engine behind them.

This is a hands-on builder seat. You will ship to production, scale embeddings and rankings, and work on the backend stack (Python, Postgres, Supabase, AWS). Fully remote with international scope and equity potential.

Qualifications

• Have shipped LLM systems to production with an agent-based architecture.
• Have built retrieval, ranking, or matching with embeddings in production.
• Write strong Python and reason clearly about data and systems.
• Design evals to ensure the output quality and reliability.
• Own outcomes end to end and ship code personally, not by delegation.

Responsibilities

• Own the agent layer that researches investors, drafts outreach, and manages conversations end to end.
• Own the matching engine with embeddings, scoring, and feedback loops.
• Develop backend and data stack: Python, Postgres, Supabase, AWS; build pipelines.
