Job summary

Pear Talent - Finance Recruitment in United Arab Emirates is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join a fast-moving team building a new agentic AI product. You will design, implement and operate production-grade AI systems in a high-autonomy, startup-like environment.

You will work with modern LLM technologies to orchestrate agents, enable tool use, RAG/GraphRAG, context memory and observability, delivering robust APIs, services and deployment pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software/AI engineering experience.

SENIOR AI ENGINEER – Agentic AI & Enterprise AI Platforms:

Essential: 5+yrs Software/AI engineering + building production + Tech/AI start-up

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a highly successful global hedge-fund that is making a significant long-term investment in AI engineering. We're looking for a hands-on AI Engineer / Software Engineer (Tech/AI company preferred over Finanical Services) to join a small, high-calibre team building a new AI product from the ground up.

This is not an AI research, consulting or strategy role. It's a highly technical engineering role focused on building, shipping and operating production-graded agentic AI systems, with significant scope for experimentation and product development.

You'll work with modern LLM technologies to build agent orchestration, tool use, RAG/GraphRAG, context and memory systems, evaluation and observability, alongside the underlying APIs, services and deployment infrastructure required to run them reliably in production.

The environment has the pace, autonomy and experimentation of an AI startup, combined with the resources and scale to take what you build into production.

What You'll Do

• Design, build and ship production-graded AI applications and agentic systems.
• Build agent orchestration incorporating planning, tool use, context and memory.
• Develop RAG and GraphRAG systems, semantic search and knowledge retrieval.
• Build reliable LLM-powered workflows and AI products, taking ideas from experimentation through to production.
• Develop the underlying APIs, services and infrastructure required to operate AI systems at scale.

• Experiment rapidly with emerging models, frameworks and architectures and turn successful ideas into production capabilities.
• Take genuine ownership of systems from architecture through implementation, deployment and operation.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for software engineers who are exceptional AI engineers — people who genuinely enjoy building things and are comfortable operating at the cutting edge of the technology.

You'll ideally have:

• Strong software engineering fundamentals and significant hands-on coding experience.
• Proven experience shipping and operating production AI/agentic systems.
• Strong Python experience and a track record of building APIs, services and production software.
• Hands-on experience with agent orchestration, tool calling, RAG/GraphRAG, context or memory management.
• Experience building evaluation, observability, monitoring or reliability systems for AI applications.
• Experience with modern LLM/agent frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agents SDK, Google ADK, Claude Agent SDK, CrewAI or similar.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern deployment practices, ideally including Docker, Kubernetes or equivalent containerised environments.
• A strong interest in AI product experimentation and the ability to take an idea from prototype to something people actually use.
• The ability to work autonomously in a small, highly technical engineering team.
