Job summary

Paires is hiring its first Data Engineer to own the database powering our outreach and investor network. You will design, scale, and keep clean a knowledge graph-like platform built on Postgres and Supabase, with hybrid search and embeddings.

You will own ingestion, data quality, entity resolution, and the entire data layer that fuels our agents and campaigns. This role is fully remote, async, and requires strong SQL and Python with experience modeling entities and relationships at scale.

Qualifications

• Own a database powering our outreach and investor network.
• Strong SQL and Python with real pipeline work (ingest, transform, dedup, enrich).
• Design schemas and contracts for year-from-now queries.
• Model entities and relationships at scale (companies, investors, rounds, people).
• Move fast with AI tooling and own outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the database itself: Postgres and Supabase with forward-looking scaling and performance.
• Data quality end-to-end: validation gates, dedup, entity resolution, provenance.
• Ingestion and enrichment pipelines: funding rounds, market news, contacts and companies.
• Knowledge graph: entities and relationships with provenance on every fact.
• Unified data layer: one clean spine read by campaigns, agents, and features.
