Job summary

ALEC Technologies UAE is seeking a skilled BMS & ELV Foreman to supervise installation and commissioning of BMS and ELV systems on major UAE projects.

You will coordinate HVAC controls, CCTV, access control, and other ELV interfaces, read drawings, and ensure safety and quality across the site. A Diploma and 5–10 years of supervisory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical certification in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5–10 years of BMS and ELV experience, with supervisory exposure.
• Strong knowledge of building automation and ELV integration.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LonWorks, TCP/IP.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and control schematics.
• Experience in testing and commissioning support.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and site practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation and integration of HVAC controls, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm, PA, Intercom, and structured cabling.

• Support commissioning activities to ensure performance and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors and trades for integrated systems.

We are seeking a highly skilled BMS & ELV Foreman with extensive experience in Building Management Systems (BMS) and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising site installation teams, coordinating project activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and supporting testing and commissioning of integrated building systems. The role requires strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, and hands-on experience across a wide range of automation and ELV technologies.

Your Role

• Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning support, and maintenance of BMS and ELV systems in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Coordinate and oversee the installation and integration of HVAC controls, CCTV, Access Control, Fire Alarm interfaces, Public Address, Intercom, Structured Cabling, and other ELV systems.
• Read, interpret, and execute work based on electrical drawings, control schematics, network diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Monitor and verify the installation, termination, and testing of field devices, controllers, sensors, actuators, control panels, and communication networks.
• Perform troubleshooting and fault diagnosis of BMS, ELV, and associated network communication systems to ensure reliable operation.
• Conduct point-to-point checks, functional testing, and support commissioning activities to ensure system performance and compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless integration between BMS, ELV, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure proper cable management, labeling, documentation, quality control, and compliance with safety regulations throughout all project phases.

What We’re Looking For

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Automation, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in BMS and ELV systems, including supervisory or foreman-level experience.
• Strong understanding of building automation, HVAC controls, and ELV system integration.
• Knowledge of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, KNX, LonWorks, and TCP/IP.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, and technical specifications.
• Experience in testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning support.
• Good knowledge of electrical safety standards and site practices.
