Job summary

Egis seeks an experienced Senior ELV Engineer in Dubai, UAE, to lead ELV, ICT, SCADA, BMS and Life Safety systems across flagship developments. You will ensure compliance with project specs, local authority regulations and QA/QC standards while guiding project teams.

You will review technical submittals, supervise installations, testings and commissioning, and coordinate multidisciplinary operations to meet milestones and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in electrical engineering or related discipline with strong ELV knowledge.
• Extensive experience with ELV, ICT, SCADA and Life Safety systems in large developments.
• Good understanding of UAE authority rules (DEWA, DCD) and project delivery QA/QC.

Responsibilities

• Lead ELV and Life Safety system execution across commercial, residential and mixed-use projects.
• Supervise site activities, ensure drawings/specs and schedules are followed.
• Perform QA/QC inspections, tests, documentation, and corrective actions.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements and RFIs.
• Coordinate SCADA, BMS, ICT, ELV, ISP/OSP networks and structured cabling.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and site teams.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior ELV Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution, coordination, testing, and commissioning of Extra Low Voltage (ELV), ICT, SCADA, BMS, and Life Safety Systems across commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. The role requires ensuring compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations, quality standards, and project delivery milestones while providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

• Manage the end-to-end execution of ELV and Life Safety systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, local authority regulations, and quality standards.
• Provide site supervision and monitor installation activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
• Ensure QA/QC compliance through inspections, testing, documentation, and implementation of corrective actions where required.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, technical submissions, and RFIs.
• Coordinate and oversee works related to:
  • SCADA Systems
  • Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • ICT & ELV Systems
  • ISP/OSP Networks
  • Structured Cabling Systems

• Supervise the installation, testing, integration, and commissioning of ELV systems, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct system performance evaluations and troubleshoot technical issues effectively to ensure optimal system functionality.
• Ensure all works comply with UAE authority requirements, DEWA standards, relevant codes, and international best practices.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to maintain project schedules and deliverables.
• Perform quality assurance testing and validation of system components, interfaces, and integrated solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, technical records, reports, and handover documentation.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8-12 years of experience in ELV system execution and engineering, preferably within the UAE or GCC region.
• Strong knowledge of UAE Authority regulations, including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence (DCD), and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in large‐scale commercial, residential, infrastructure, or mixed‑use developments.
• Strong understanding of testing, commissioning, QA/QC procedures, and project delivery processes.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in multidisciplinary project coordination and client‑facing roles.
