Job summary

Caliberly is seeking a Payment Tech Lead to oversee the design, development, and maintenance of payment systems and fintech platforms. The role requires deep expertise in payment gateway integrations, backend architecture, and team leadership.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, mentor engineers, and ensure PCI-DSS, KYC, AML compliance while collaborating with Product, Compliance, and QA to deliver robust payment solutions. Expect a high-impact, fast-paced fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 6+ years in software development with 2+ years in lead roles in fintech.
• Strong backend skills in Node.js/Java/Go/Python and API design.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of payment systems and APIs.
• Architect and maintain high-performance, secure payment infra.
• Oversee integration with card schemes, wallets, and PSPs.
• Mentor a team of engineers across frontend, backend, and DevOps.
• Drive architectural decisions for microservices and data models.
• Ensure PCI-DSS, KYC, AML compliance and secure coding.
• Collaborate with Product, Compliance, and QA to deliver solutions.
• Improve reliability, latency, and throughput via monitoring and analytics.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance performance and scale.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for payments issues.
• Prepare architecture, API, and deployment documentation.
