Job summary

STAR SERVICES LLC in Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Finishing Assistant in the steel industry. You will perform maintenance and overhauling activities in the Finishing Section throughout the plant with high proficiency, quality, and strict safety practices.

Mandatory: ITI in Mechanical Fitter Trade and 3–5 years of mechanical maintenance experience in a steel plant. Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance, reading engineering drawings, and hydraulic circuits is preferred;

General Summary

To perform maintenance and overhauling activities of the Finishing Section throughout the plant with high proficiency, quality, and maximum safety standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Implement Production Optimization

• Execute scheduled corrective maintenance and major repairs of equipment to optimize production and minimize plant downtime related to maintenance activities.

Minimum Education Qualifications

Mandatory:

• ITI in Mechanical Fitter Trade.

Required Technical Knowledge:

• Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge and skills in troubleshooting mechanical problems.
• Understanding of engineering drawings and hydraulic circuits.

Professional Experience

Mandatory:

• 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within a steel plant as a Technician / Fitter.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of rigging and slinging activities.
