Job summary

IDS in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, seeks an experienced accountant to manage end-to-end accounting, including balance sheets, P&L, and cash flows. The role requires timely month-end closings, journal postings, and strong liaison with auditors.

You will handle VAT filing, budgeting, cash planning, and bank reconciliations while maintaining ledgers and ensuring regulatory compliance. UAE experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Professional accounting knowledge and experience in month-end close processes.
• Ability to reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, and support audits.
• Familiarity with VAT filings and regulatory compliance in UAE.
• Strong communication and teamwork to coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Independently handling of accounts up to finalization including Balance sheets, P&L, Cash flow statements.
• Ensure timely month closing activities and posting of journals.
• Collaborate with auditors for year-end audits and resolve discrepancies.
• Support VAT return filing, budgets, and forecasts.
• Maintain and reconcile supplier and customer ledgers and prepare monthly reports.
• Prepare invoices, discounting with banks, and manage cash and bank reconciliations.
