Howden is seeking a Financial Accountant to maintain accurate financial records, support reporting, and ensure regulatory compliance in the UAE. You will handle petty cash, reconcile cash and bank transactions, process invoices, and manage payments in line with policies.

The role requires 3+ years of finance experience, knowledge of UAE VAT and IFRS, and proficiency with BI tools like Power BI/Tableau; Workday handles reimbursements.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive finance experience, preferably in insurance.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT and IFRS standards.
• Ability to build data visualizations with BI tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Petty cash management and ensuring cash on hand for minor purchases.
• Document cash and credit purchases for records.
• Add new payees in bank system for processing payments.
• Assist in allocating incoming payments to customer accounts.
• Reconcile cash and bank transactions for accurate balance sheet.
• Ensure payments are made on time per company policies.
• Verify payment requests have approvals and documentation.
• Investigate vendor account inconsistencies and reconcile statements.
• Oversee invoice processing and payments to maintain cash flow.
• Ensure compliance with corporate tax laws and timely tax returns.
• Monitor down-payments and close out before month-end.
• Suggest at least one process improvement.
• Manage employee reimbursements through Workday.
• Adhere to policies and regulatory/compliance requirements.
