Job summary

Client of Forsyth Barnes seeks an experienced IT Project Lead to drive end-to-end initiatives for finance and banking operations in Dubai. You will shape technical scope from business needs and oversee vendor and internal delivery to meet time and budget targets.

Responsibilities include scoping workshops, functional specs, project plans, and risk mitigation with emphasis on regulatory alignment and efficiency gains. Strong communication to senior governance forums is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT project delivery experience within finance, banking or investment operations.
• Proven track record in business analysis, systems implementation and stakeholder engagement.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party integrations.
• Strong understanding of financial processes such as treasury, fund accounting or trading systems.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and governance forums.
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent preferred; business analysis certification advantageous.
• Ability to work in Dubai and engage across multicultural teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead scoping and requirements workshops with investment treasury and banking stakeholders to define measurable objectives
• Create comprehensive functional specifications process maps and acceptance criteria for technical teams
• Develop project plans with milestones resource allocation and budget forecasts monitor progress and controls
• Manage third-party vendors contracts and delivery timelines to ensure quality and compliance
• Coordinate system integrations data migrations and testing including UAT and cutover activities
• Identify operational risk and compliance gaps and implement mitigation within project designs
• Recommend pragmatic technology solutions that improve controls reporting or operational efficiency
• Prepare executive reports risk registers and decision materials for steering committees
