Role Context
The Finance Executive will work closely with finance teams, internal stakeholders, auditors, and operational departments to ensure financial data is processed accurately and in line with company policies. This position is suitable for a detail-oriented finance graduate who can support cost reporting, accounting entries, fixed asset tracking, payroll entries, accruals, prepayments, expense claims, and audit schedules in a fast‑paced entertainment business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost reports, expense summaries, and financial documentation to support accurate reporting and effective cost control.
- Track operating expenses, project costs, production cash flow, and financial transactions to ensure timely and reliable financial records.
- Assist with month‑end closing activities, including payroll entries, accounting deliverable checks, accrual calculations, and prepayment support.
- Verify accounting documents, transaction records, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal requirements.
- Support project and asset management by tracking expenses, updating asset information, and maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Monitor production cash flow accuracy and support financial visibility for entertainment operations and related activities.
- Review staff travel and expense claims to ensure compliance with company policies, approval requirements, and documentation standards.
- Enter, review, and maintain transactions in financial systems while ensuring data accuracy and proper record organization.
- Generate finance reports, reconcile relevant data, and organise records for management review and audit readiness.
- Respond to internal and external audit requests by preparing schedules, supporting documents, and policy compliance evidence.
- Support internal control processes by maintaining accurate files, following approval workflows, and escalating discrepancies when required.
- Assist budgeting and forecasting activities by preparing data, cost inputs, reports, and supporting analysis for finance leaders.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely processing of financial information, invoices, claims, and accounting deliverables.
- Take on additional finance responsibilities as assigned by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- 0‑2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, cost control, financial reporting, audit support, or similar roles.
- Previous exposure to retail, entertainment, hospitality, leisure, or customer‑facing business environments is an advantage.
- Professional certifications or progress toward accounting qualifications are preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in financial entries, reports, reconciliations, and documentation.
- Good understanding of accounting basics, expense tracking, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payroll entries, and audit support.
- Strong time management, communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
- Proactive, analytical, and results‑driven approach with the ability to work independently when required.
