Job summary

Connexio is seeking a field service technician to perform preventive maintenance on UPS, CCU and generator systems, troubleshoot complex faults, and lead on-site installations and commissioning. The role includes direct client interaction, timekeeping, and adherence to safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have ITI/ Diploma in mechanical or electrical/electronics, with experience in installation, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of power and cooling systems for critical loads.

Role & responsibilities

• Preventive Maintenance: Independently perform scheduled PM on UPS, CCU, and Generator systems including battery testing, load testing, and component replacement.


• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical and mechanical faults using advanced diagnostic equipment with minimal supervision.


• Installation & Commissioning: Lead installation, site preparation, system commissioning, and customer handover for UPS and related systems.


• Client Management: Interface directly with clients, provide technical guidance, and ensure customer satisfaction on-site.


• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor junior and mid-level technicians during field operations.


• Documentation: Complete field service reports, maintenance checklists, and timesheets accurately and promptly.


• Tool Management: Ensure proper use, calibration, and inventory of tools and test equipment.


• Safety Compliance: Follow all site safety procedures and company HSE guidelines during field operations.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates who are ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering with relevant experience in installation, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, CCU (Closed Control Unit), Generator, learning to ensure continuous power and cooling for critical loads.
