Job summary

Excis Compliance, a global IT support leader, is hiring a Desktop Support Technician in Dubai, UAE. You will manage hardware, software, and IT assets across multiple locations, ensuring timely issue resolution and clear communication with customers.

Candidates should have 2-3 years in Windows desktop support, basic Mac OS knowledge, and experience with printers, networking, and Cisco Jabber. On-site work across Dubai sites and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in Windows Desktop support.
• Basic knowledge of Mac operating system.
• Familiarity with Windows XP/7/8.1/10, Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber.
• Experience with printer and computer hardware installation, upgrade, support, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and remedial repairs.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools for network connectivity and workstation hardware/software.
• Basic understanding of Networks and Servers.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and internal customer service skills.
• Able to work across multiple sites in Dubai.
• Comfortable with on-site support, ticketing, and customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
• Work with Third Party Vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed.
• Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
• Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot desktop applications and hardware.
• Support Mac users with basic OS tasks.
• Install and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware.
• Perform preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on devices.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot network connectivity and hardware/software problems.
• Mentor and assist Band 1 technicians across sites in Dubai.

What You'll Do:

• Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues
• Work with Third Party Vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed
• Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents
• Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber, and other authorized desktop applications
• Should have basic knowledge of Mac operating system to support Apple PC users
• Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot for printers and computer hardware
• Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers
• Perform remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipment
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity and workstation hardware/software
• Broad experience of IT with basic understanding of Networks and Servers
• In addition, the Band 1 Technician will mentor and assist Band 1 technicians in their work and provide support

What You Need:
