Job summary

Excis is actively seeking a Desktop Support Technician in Dubai, UAE to manage hardware, software, and IT assets across multiple locations. You will provide first/second level support, coordinate with vendors, and maintain ticket updates while mentoring junior technicians.

The role requires 2-3 years of Windows desktop support experience, fluent English, and basic Mac OS knowledge. On-site work across Dubai locations and strong customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in Windows Desktop support.
• Fluent English.
• Basic knowledge of Mac OS.
• Experience with printers and computer hardware installation, upgrade, support, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work across multiple sites in Dubai.

Responsibilities

• Provide first/second level support and resolve customer issues.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors for AV issues as needed.
• Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
• Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, Office, and related apps.
• Support Mac users with basic Mac OS knowledge.
• Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot printers and computer hardware.
• Perform preventative maintenance on computers, laptops, printers.
• Diagnose network and workstation hardware/software problems.
• Mentor and assist Band 1 technicians in their work.

What You'll Do:

• Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues
• Work with Third Party Vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed
• Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution
• Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents
• Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber, and other authorized desktop applications
• Should have basic knowledge of Mac operating system to support Apple PC users
• Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot for printers and computer hardware
• Perform general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers
• Perform remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipment
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity and workstation hardware/software
• Broad experience of IT with basic understanding of Networks and Servers
• In addition, the Band 1 Technician will mentor and assist Band 1 technicians in their work and provide support

What You Need:

• 2-3 years' experience in Windows Desktop support
• Fluent English
• Basic knowledge of Mac operating system
• Familiarity with Windows XP / 7 / 8.1 / 10, Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber
• Experience with printer and computer hardware installation, upgrade, support, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and remedial repairs
• Ability to use diagnostic tools for network connectivity and workstation hardware/software
• Basic understanding of Networks and Servers
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and internal customer service skills
• Able to work across multiple sites in Dubai
• Comfortable with on-site support, ticketing, and customer communication
