Job summary

Siemens Abu Dhabi is seeking a Commissioning Engineer (MV/LV Switchgear & Protection) to lead installation, testing and commissioning in utilities, O&G and industrial projects. The role requires hands-on expertise with MV/LV switchgears, protection relays and related control panels, with strong knowledge of IEC61850 and DIGSI tools.

You will collaborate with the engineering and project teams, plan site activities, and train site personnel while maintaining strict HSE standards on every site

Qualifications

• Bachelor/engineering degree in electrical or electronic engineering.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience with MV/LV switchgear installations, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with protection relays and various protection schemes.

Responsibilities

• Install, test and commission MV/LV switchgear, protection relays, and associated panels in utilities/substations.
• Conduct testing of transformers, current/voltage transformers and protection relays.
• Prepare method statements, NCR/RCA reports and support project planning.
• Train operating personnel at site and ensure HSE compliance at all times.
