Job summary

Siemens in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Field Protection Engineer to test and commission protection and automation systems across the UAE and Middle East. You will collaborate with global teams and customers to ensure safe, reliable operation of high-voltage transmission infrastructure.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field, experience with SIPROTEC platforms and IEC 61850, and willingness to work in international environments. Abu Dhabi-based with regional travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, or electrical & communication engineering.
Experience in multicultural project environments.
Experience in substation protection systems in the Middle East or international markets is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

Testing & commissioning of Protection and Automation systems for Siemens projects.
Preparation of SAT / FAT protocols and technical documentation.
Conducting Pre-FAT / FAT activities with customers for protection panels (AVR, LIBBP, HIBBP, TIP etc.)
Preparing commissioning procedures including method statements, work permits and testing protocols.
Supporting product feedback, approvals, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Delivering technical presentations to customers and stakeholders.
Performing fault analysis and root cause investigations on protection systems.
