Job summary

HITACHI ENERGY SYSTEMS LLC in Abu Dhabi seeks a Commissioning & Start-Up Engineering Specialist to lead installation testing and commissioning activities at site. You will implement design changes, coordinate with clients and third-party testers, and ensure timely project delivery in a demanding substations environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, at least 10 years of experience in substation/ switchgear and protection testing, and strong English

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the SS field.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site testing and commissioning activities for substations and power plants.
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders and third-party testing agencies.
• Prepare procedures, method of statement and risk assessments for installation and T&C.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, contractual requirements and international standards.
