The Joinery Factory Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production activities within the joinery factory ensuring that manufacturing operations are executed efficiently, safely and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project schedules. The role involves overseeing manpower, machinery, material utilization, production planning and coordination with multiple departments to ensure timely completion of joinery projects.
Key Responsibilities
Production Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate daily joinery manufacturing activities
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per approved schedules
- Monitor workflow across cutting, assembly, veneering, polishing, finishing and packing sections
- Allocate manpower effectively to optimize productivity
- Ensure all works are executed according to approved shop drawings and project specifications
- Monitor production progress and report delays or bottlenecks to management
Workforce Management
- Lead and supervise carpenters, machine operators, polishers, helpers and other factory personnel
- Conduct daily toolbox talks and work allocation meetings
- Monitor employee attendance, productivity, overtime and performance
- Identify training requirements and improve workforce skills
- Ensure discipline and compliance with company policies and procedures
Quality Control
- Ensure products comply with approved quality standards and client requirements
- Conduct regular inspections throughout the production process
- Coordinate corrective actions for quality issues and non-conformities
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials and finished products
- Minimize rework and material wastage through proactive monitoring
Production Planning Coordination
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Design Team and Procurement Department
- Review production requirements and prioritize activities based on project deadlines
- Monitor material availability and coordinate procurement requirements
- Ensure smooth workflow between factory and site installation teams
- Prepare and maintain production schedules and progress reports
Machine Equipment Management
- Monitor utilization and condition of factory machinery and equipment
- Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed
- Report equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairs
- Ensure safe operation of woodworking machines and tools
Health Safety Housekeeping
- Enforce safety regulations and company HSE policies
- Ensure employees use appropriate PPE at all times
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized working environment
- Report accidents, incidents and near misses immediately
- Conduct regular safety inspections within the factory
Material Control
- Monitor material consumption and reduce wastage
- Verify receipt and issuance of materials from suppliers
Documentation Reporting
- Maintain daily production records and manpower reports
- Prepare production status updates for management review
- Record quality inspections, material usage and machine maintenance activities
- Assist in preparing productivity and performance reports
- Monitor project production milestones and report variances

Qualifications
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in Carpentry, Wood Technology, Manufacturing, Construction, or related field
- Additional certifications in Production Management, HSE, or Quality Control are advantageous
Experience
- Minimum 4 years of experience in joinery manufacturing in UAE

- Knowledge of joinery manufacturing processes
