Job summary

S K OVERSEAS HR CONSULTANCY is seeking an experienced supervisor for structural steel fabrication in the UAE. You will oversee daily fabrication operations, direct a team of fabricators, welders and fitters, and ensure work meets precise specifications and quality standards.

You will enforce strict shop-floor safety protocols, monitor project timelines and resources, read complex engineering drawings, and coordinate with engineering and site teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, or related engineering field.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in structural steel fabrication.
• Supervising fabrication teams in heavy industrial or construction environments.

Responsibilities

Job description

Oversee daily fabrication operations ensuring structural steel components are manufactured to precise specifications and quality standards. Direct and supervise a team of fabricators, welders, and fitters providing clear instructions and fostering a productive work environment. Implement and enforce strict safety protocols on the shop floor conducting regular safety audits and promoting a zero-accident culture. Monitor project timelines and resource allocation proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks to maintain project schedules.

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or a related engineering field. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in structural steel fabrication. Proven track record of supervising fabrication teams in heavy industrial or construction environments. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication standards (e.g., AWS, IS).

Eligibility Criteria

• Experience in construction (not design), Pipeline / Oil & Gas / EPC / Flowline / Wellhead / Brownfield / Upstream / Onshore
• Gulf / ADNOC experience preferred
• Clean-shaven policy applicable
• Candidates must be immediate joiners
• Candidates with Metro / Building / Road Infrastructure experience are not eligible

Age Criteria

• Maximum age limit is 49 years
• For managerial positions, this may be extended up to 50 years if the candidate has significant Gulf experience

Managerial and SR. Positions

• A minimum of 5 years of Gulf experience in the relevant field is mandatory
