Job summary

Antal International L.L.C-FZ is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Supervisor in Sharjah to oversee daily sheet metal fabrication, manage shop-floor teams and ensure quality and safety on a busy production line.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in manufacturing supervision, with CNC laser cutting experience and Hindi language proficiency. Employment offers include salary up to 6.5k AED plus transportation, medical and air ticket allowances, on a 6-day week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, preferably sheet metal fabrication.
• Hands-on knowledge of sheet metal cutting, bending and welding processes.
• Practical experience operating CNC laser cutting machines – mandatory.
• Good understanding of CNC press brake operations, bending allowances, punches and tooling.
• Knowledge of TIG, MIG, spot and laser welding processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T and job travellers/cards.
• Proven ability to supervise blue-collar production teams.
• Fluency in Hindi is mandatory.
• A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily sheet metal fabrication activities: laser cutting, punching, bending, forming and welding.
• Ensure components meet drawings, tolerances and quality specs; verify bend allowances and tooling.
• Maintain accurate job cards, production records and inspection docs; monitor schedules and deadlines.

Job Description: Fabrication Supervisor (Industry- Switchgear)

Location: Sharjah, UAE Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reporting to: General Manager

About the Company :

Our client is an established UAE-based manufacturer specialising in low-voltage electrical switchgear, power distribution panels and customised electrical enclosures. With in-house manufacturing capabilities covering sheet metal fabrication, surface finishing and electrical panel assembly, the company serves industrial and commercial power distribution requirements.

Role Overview: We are seeking a hands-on Fabrication Supervisor to oversee daily shop-floor operations, with a strong focus on sheet metal fabrication, production efficiency, quality control and workforce management. The ideal candidate will have a practical, results-oriented approach, a firm and authoritative presence on the shop floor, and the ability to maintain high standards of productivity, safety and accountability.

Salary: upto 6.5k AED + Transportation + medical + air ticket allowances

Working days- 6 days

Working hours: 8 am to 6pm

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Fabrication

• Supervise daily sheet metal fabrication activities, including laser cutting, punching, bending, forming and welding.
• Ensure all fabricated components meet engineering drawings, dimensional tolerances and quality specifications.
• Verify bend allowances, tooling selection, machine settings and first-piece inspection results.
• Ensure job cards, production records and inspection documentation are completed accurately.
• Monitor production schedules, output and delivery deadlines.

2. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Directly supervise fabrication operators, welders and shop-floor personnel.
• Allocate tasks according to workers' skills, workload and production priorities.
• Monitor attendance, shift schedules, overtime and workforce productivity.
• Train new employees and develop existing team members.
• Maintain discipline, accountability and a proactive, results-driven working environment.

3. Production Planning & Process Improvement

• Coordinate with planning, engineering, quality and stores teams to ensure smooth workflow.
• Identify bottlenecks, minimise machine downtime and eliminate unnecessary idle time.
• Ensure timely material requisitions and proper identification, handling and storage of materials.
• Implement 5S practices and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, scrap and rework.
• Report production progress, operational issues and resource requirements to management.

4. Quality, Safety & Equipment

• Enforce company safety procedures and the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct toolbox talks, workplace inspections and safety checks.
• Ensure machinery is operated correctly and maintained in good working condition.
• Escalate equipment malfunctions, quality deviations and production delays promptly.

Desired Candidate Profile

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role, preferably in sheet metal fabrication.

• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and production reporting.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and workforce coordination skills.
