Job summary

JobCenter in Ajman is seeking an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine to oversee kitchen operations, develop authentic menus, and lead a team while maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.

This is a contract position with a salary of 1,100 USD per month and accommodation provided. A biometric passport is required for this role, and the ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, a Culinary Arts diploma, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years experience as an Executive Chef specializing in Indian cuisine.
• Diploma or degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Indian spices, flavors, and cooking techniques.
• Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written).
• Biometric passport required for work permit.

Responsibilities

• Develop creative and authentic Indian menus that appeal to our diverse clientele.
• Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Monitor food costs and inventory levels to ensure profitability.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Implement new cooking techniques or equipment to improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to plan events or special promotions.
• Oversee purchasing and receiving of ingredients to ensure quality and freshness.
• Create and maintain relationships with local suppliers for sourcing ingredients.
• Stay updated on industry trends and new ingredients to continually improve menu offerings.
