Job summary

The Department of Economy and Tourism seeks a Manager, Excellence Program to lead DET's DGEP-aligned initiatives. You will drive development, implementation, and coordination of excellence activities, foster a culture of high performance, and ensure program alignment with government standards across internal processes and stakeholder engagements.

You will guide business owners through DGEP requirements, oversee self-assessments, and produce detailed management and executive reports highlighting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Quality Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Certifications in PM/QA or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
• 8+ years in managing excellence or awards programs, especially in government-like environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Excellence Program aligned with DET and DGEP.
• Coordinate engagements with DGEP stakeholders to ensure program requirements are understood.
• Communicate excellence-related information, announcements, and workshops.
• Guide business owners through DGEP requirements and preparation for participation.
• Lead self-assessment processes and ensure alignment with DGEP criteria.
• Monitor compliance of services with DGEP requirements and prepare executive reports.
• Oversee documentation, field visits, and performance data to drive improvements.
• Manage awards/certifications repository and digital tools for compliance tracking.
• Budget management for the Excellence Program.
