Fisher Human Resource Consultancy is seeking an Event Manager – Production to lead the technical and production delivery of large-scale live events in Abu Dhabi. You will oversee planning, setups, rehearsals, show execution and breakdown, ensuring quality and safety across all aspects.

Candidates should have 5–7 years of live event or technical production experience, with strong knowledge of audio, lighting, LED/video, staging and safety standards.

  • Strong experience delivering concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, conferences or large-scale live productions.
  • Experience in arena/venue, event production company or promoter environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of audio, lighting, LED/video, staging, rigging, trussing, power and show-control systems.
  • Ability to interpret riders, drawings, plans and equipment specs.
  • Experience managing production suppliers, contractors and crews.
  • Knowledge of production safety, risk management and safety procedures.

  • Develop detailed production schedules, plans and equipment lists for each event.
  • Supervise suppliers, contractors and crews during setup and show execution.
  • Manage changes and issues during rehearsals and live events.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, risk assessment and method statements.

Job description

The Event Manager – Production will lead the technical and production delivery of live events, including concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, conferences and entertainment shows. The role manages production planning, technical requirements, suppliers, setup, rehearsals, show delivery and breakdown while ensuring quality, safety and production standards are consistently achieved.

Manage the end-to-end production delivery of live events.

Lead production planning from initial technical requirements through setup, rehearsals, live show delivery and breakdown.

Review and assess technical riders, production plans, stage layouts, schedules and equipment requirements.

Coordinate all production elements including audio, lighting, LED screens, video, staging, rigging, trussing, power distribution, special effects and technical communications.

Liaise with promoters, production companies, technical suppliers, show producers and touring production teams.

Ensure external and touring production requirements are compatible with the venue’s technical infrastructure.

Develop detailed production schedules, technical plans and equipment requirements for each event.

Coordinate production load-in, installation, testing, rehearsals, sound checks, show calls and load-out.

Supervise production suppliers, contractors and technical crews throughout event setup and delivery.

Review production drawings, rigging plans, power requirements and technical specifications.

Identify technical challenges in advance and provide practical production solutions.

Ensure all production equipment is installed, tested and show-ready within agreed timelines.

Manage production-related changes and technical issues during rehearsals and live events.

Ensure production activities comply with relevant technical safety requirements, risk assessments and approved method statements.

Monitor production quality and ensure delivery meets agreed creative and technical standards.

Support preparation and management of event production budgets and supplier costs.

Review production quotations, scopes of work and supplier deliverables.

Conduct post-event production debriefs and document technical issues, lessons learned and improvement opportunities.

Support continuous improvement of production systems, equipment, technical capabilities and procedures.

Skills
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification in Technical Production, Event Production, Live Entertainment, Engineering or a related field.

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in live event or technical production.

Strong experience delivering concerts, sporting events, exhibitions, conferences, shows or other large-scale live productions.

Previous experience within an arena, entertainment venue, event production company, concert promoter or technical production environment is highly preferred.

Strong technical knowledge of audio, lighting, LED/video, staging, rigging, trussing, temporary power and show-control systems.

Ability to interpret technical riders, production drawings, rigging plans, stage plans and equipment specifications.

Strong experience managing production suppliers, contractors and technical crews.

Good understanding of production safety, rigging safety, electrical requirements and technical risk management.

Strong production planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills.

Ability to troubleshoot technical and production issues in high-pressure live-event environments.

Excellent communication and coordination skills when working with producers, promoters, artists’ technical teams and suppliers.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple technical production workstreams simultaneously.

UAE or GCC live-event production experience is highly preferred.

Experience working on major concerts, sports events or large-scale entertainment productions is an advantage.

Must be flexible to work evenings, weekends, public holidays and extended hours according to the production schedule.
