Job summary

A7 Audio Visual in Dubai seeks an experienced Senior Video Engineer to lead on-site video delivery for live events, corporate functions and concerts. You will work with the Video Department to design, install, and operate video systems, ensuring quality and timeliness under tight deadlines.

You will oversee equipment power planning, LED screen setup, and media server integration, while maintaining documentation and coordinating with foremen and clients. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar role, with live events industry knowledge.
• Ability to calculate equipment power requirements for projects.
• Ability to calculate server output, pixel counts and processor loading for LED projects.
• Experience working in Corporate and Social event environments.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, projection, camera and media server systems.
• Experience installing, configuring and dismantling LED screens.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented with safe working practices.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the team in the design, preparation, installation and operation of all video equipment.
• Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
• Ensure equipment software is current and licenses are obtained as required.
• Ensure a steady working pace in the department.
• Identify common faults and report to Foreman & General Manager.
• Test new and repaired hardware and software before full-scale installation.
• Inform Foreman & General Manager of shortages of equipment/consumables.
• Support routine maintenance and repair of equipment.
• Maintain Company quality standards at all times.
• Keep up to date with latest technology.
• Ensure equipment is ready for events and assist with show operation.
• Mark faulty equipment and notify immediately.
• Attend production and site meetings.
• Assist other departments when required.

Working as part of the Video Department, our Senior Video Engineers will assist the department leads in delivering quality video solutions to our clients in the Special Events, Corporate and Concert markets. Developing and delivering solution in exciting and challenging environments and against tight deadlines, our Senior Engineers drive the onsite teams to ensure excellence is achieved in all aspects of delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+yrs experience in a similar role, with a good understanding of the live events industry.
• Calculation of equipment power requirements for projects
• Calculation of server output requirement, pixel counts and processor loading capacity for LED projects
• Experience working and operating on Corporate and Social event environments.
• Computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications is essential.
• Excellent understanding of Network Architecture, Projection, Camera and Media Server systems.
• Installation, configuration and dismantle of LED Screens
• Must display a positive attitude both in the warehouse and on-site.
• Methodical and analytical approach to work with good fault-finding skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to cope well under pressure and capable of working to deadlines.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Video Technology

• Work as part of the team in the design, preparation, installation and operation of all video equipment.
• Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly

• Ensure an acceptable working pace is maintained in the department
• Identify common faults within the prep process and report to the Foreman & General Manager
• Testing new and repaired hardware and software before full-scale installation
• Inform the Foreman & General Manager of any shortages of equipment / consumables for forthcoming jobs
• Support the department with routine maintenance and repair of equipment where needed
• Ensure the Company’s quality standards are maintained at all times
• Keep up to date with the latest technology within the department
• Ensure all equipment is ready to work as it is required to during the event and undertake a responsibility for show operating
• Faulty / Damaged equipment to be clearly marked and Foreman & General Manager notified of this at the earliest opportunity.
• Support with routine maintenance to ensure the equipment is kept in a good, safe and efficient working condition.
• Attend production and site meetings as required
