Job summary

Role Description

The Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Fujairah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. This position is responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications, quantifying materials and labor, and preparing accurate cost estimates for landscaping and contracting projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing bids and proposals, coordinating with project managers and engineers, obtaining supplier and subcontractor quotations, and updating cost databases. The Estimator will prepare tender documents, support negotiations, and assist in budget development and cost control throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves maintaining organized records, adhering to company standards, and collaborating closely with site and office teams to ensure competitive and realistic pricing.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and preparation of bids for landscaping and general contracting projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts, with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience using estimation or construction management software, along with solid skills in MS Excel and other office tools.
• Knowledge of construction materials, landscaping methods, local market pricing, and basic project scheduling concepts.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and clients.
• Organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple tenders, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
• Relevant experience in construction or landscaping estimation; experience in the UAE market is an advantage.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field preferred.
• Commitment to safety, ethical conduct, and continuous improvement in estimating practices and cost control.
