Job summary

Al Reyami Office Furnishings is seeking an Estimation Engineer – MEP to join our Dubai team on a full-time, on-site basis. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for MEP works, develop BOQs, analyze material and labour needs, and coordinate with suppliers and contractors to optimize project costs.

Role Description

The Estimation Engineer – MEP is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for MEP works, including reviewing project drawings, specifications, and tender documents. Daily tasks include developing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), analyzing material and labor requirements, coordinating with suppliers and contractors for pricing, and supporting negotiations to optimize project costs. The Estimation Engineer collaborates closely with project managers, design teams, and procurement to ensure accurate budgets, timely submissions, and alignment with client and company standards.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong project estimation and BOQ preparation skills, with experience in MEP-related scopes.
• Candidates should possess a background in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline, with knowledge of construction and MEP systems.
• Candidates should possess effective negotiation skills to support cost discussions with suppliers, contractors, and clients.
• Candidates should possess solid research and analytical skills to validate pricing, benchmark costs, and assess technical documentation.
• Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or a closely related field are preferred.
• Proficiency in estimation software and MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with tendering processes are beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment are important.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of regional market conditions in the UAE is an advantage.
