Job summary

Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking a Senior Manager – Strategic Planning to shape enterprise strategy and drive execution of strategic priorities. The role provides high visibility and close collaboration with senior stakeholders to influence direction and deliver key initiatives.

The candidate will lead strategy development, perform market analyses, develop governance frameworks and prepare executive-level materials for decision making and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or related discipline; MBA preferred.
• Approximately 10+ years' experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning or transformation.
• Experience in financial services is essential and senior stakeholder exposure.
• Track record of delivering enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
• Strong ability to interact with executive leadership and present to boards.
• Experience with external consulting firms is desirable and governance oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and evolution of corporate strategy and long-term roadmap.
• Conduct market, competitor and macro analyses to identify priorities.
• Create strategic frameworks, KPIs and executive reporting for leadership.
• Prepare board papers and strategic recommendations for decision making.
• Establish governance to ensure effective execution of initiatives.
• Monitor programmes, KPIs, risks and interdependencies across the business.
• Translate strategy into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
• Facilitate quarterly/annual strategic performance reviews for executives.
• Manage relationships with external consulting partners and ensure value.
• Evaluate proposals, oversee delivery and ensure knowledge transfer.
• Promote best practice planning methodologies and continuous improvement.
