Job summary

Commercial Bank of Dubai is seeking a senior strategy leader to drive the bank's long-term corporate strategy. You will coordinate inputs across business units, Finance, Risk, and Technology to shape multi-year plans and OKRs, ensuring alignment with risk appetite and regulatory considerations.

This role requires conducting macro analyses and competitive reviews, developing the strategy narrative and KPI frameworks, and preparing executive materials for ExCo and the Board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years total experience with at least 5 in strategy in banking/consulting.
• Experience leading end-to-end strategy and governance in complex multi-stakeholder environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of CBD's annual and multi-year corporate strategy across units.
• Conduct macro-environmental, competitive analyses to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop strategy narrative, KPI frameworks, and long-range targets.
• Prepare materials for ExCo, Board Strategy Committee, and leadership sessions.
• Translate analyses into clear strategic options for executive decision-making.
• Design and operate the strategy execution framework and governance.
• Maintain consolidated view of strategic initiatives and flag risks.
• Partner with heads of units to embed priorities into planning cycles.
• Lead strategy performance reviews and executive reporting.
• Facilitate prioritisation when resources or timelines are tight.
• Interface with external strategy consulting engagements, including scoping and contracting.
• Evaluate consulting proposals for scope and terms.
• Provide oversight to ensure outputs are actionable and fit for decision-making.
• Build internal capability by absorbing methodologies from consultants.
• Manage consulting budgets and track ROI.
