Job summary

DeepLight AI seeks a Principal AI/ML Engineer to lead high‑impact enterprise engagements in the UAE. You will guide cross‑functional teams of AI engineers, data scientists, and data engineers, translating executive visions into production‑grade ML systems.

You will be the technical authority and client-facing leader, delivering secure, scalable AI solutions while mentoring teams and shaping project strategy in a banking‑grade environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Physics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field.
• 8+ years in software engineering, machine learning, and AI platform development with leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to build client trust, navigate dynamics, and lead teams with empathy and clarity.
• Deep command of modern AI frameworks, vector databases, and cloud MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy enterprise-grade ML models, DL pipelines, RAG systems, and LLM agent frameworks on cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure).
• Act as the primary technical advisor to client executives and engineering leads, translating business challenges into execution roadmaps.
• Direct and mentor a team of AI engineers and quantitative specialists, fostering psychological safety and technical excellence.
• Use high EQ to de‑escalate friction, align agendas, and defend AI ethics before ARBs and risk committees.
• Design zero‑trust AI security frameworks, prompt injection defenses, PII masking, and CI/CD pipelines compliant with regulatory frameworks.
