DeepLight AI is a UAE-based data and AI consultancy seeking a Lead Data Engineer to drive production-grade data platforms for high-profile client engagements. You will balance hands-on delivery with architectural leadership, mentoring engineers and guiding data strategy across cloud environments.

Qualifications

Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL with end-to-end ETL/ELT experience.
Hands-on expertise with a major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data platforms.
Deep understanding of data lakes, lakehouses, warehouses, and data governance.
Strong communication to guide stakeholders and balance speed with quality.

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and deploy production-grade data pipelines, lakehouses, and analytics-ready datasets.
Turn complex business problems into clear technical designs and roadmaps.
Stay hands-on with code reviews and production issue resolution.
Raise engineering standards for code quality, testing, CI/CD, documentation, and data governance.
Build resilient, secure data pipelines with scale and enterprise compliance.
Coach and mentor engineers and collaborate with client architects, data scientists, and business leaders.
