Job summary

DeepLight AI in Dubai is seeking a Principal AI/ML Engineer to lead high‑impact enterprise AI work in the UAE. You will architect and deploy production‑grade ML systems, mentor cross‑functional teams, and serve as a trusted technical advisor to C‑suite executives while navigating complex client environments with empathy and strategic clarity.

You will guide architecture reviews, enforce security and governance, and drive delivery roadmaps across AWS/Azure.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Math, Physics, CS).
• 8+ years in software engineering, ML, and AI platform development, with leadership experience.
• Proven ability to build client trust and lead teams with empathy.
• Deep command of PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, and LlamaIndex.
• Experience bringing AI/ML systems from prototype to production in cloud environments.
• Banking/financial services background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy enterprise‑grade ML models and RAG systems on AWS/Azure.
• Act as primary technical advisor to C-suite and Engineering Leads.
• Direct and nurture a team of AI engineers and quantitative specialists.
• Use high EQ to de‑escalate project friction and align agendas.
• Design zero‑trust AI security, prompt injection defence, PII masking, and CI/CD pipelines.
