Job summary

Aloft Hotels in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to respond to guest repair requests and conduct preventive maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fixtures.

You will inspect equipment, perform basic repairs, and maintain inventory while following safety procedures and company policies. Driver’s license is required and prior hotel engineering experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance and painting.
• Hotel engineering or maintenance experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and attend to guest repair requests.
• Communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Inspect and operate building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC and lighting.
• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on equipment and fixtures.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or injuries.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts as needed.
