Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Commissioning Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical) to lead site testing and commissioning activities, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery. You will manage multi-discipline teams, coordinate with OEMs and clients, and enforce IEC/IEEE standards throughout commissioning phases.

The role requires 15+ years of experience, strong problem solving, and proactive decision-making to drive project success.

Qualifications

• Graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engg with strong commissioning background.
• Experience leading testing, commissioning and customer interactions.
• Proven ability to manage multi-discipline teams on site.

Responsibilities

• Team management in project planning and execution on site.
• Allocate resources and coordinate testing activities with OEMs and sub-contractors.
• Prepare commissioning plans for cold/hot commissioning, SAT reports, and testing per IEC/IEEE.
• Clarify and resolve technical issues during testing and attend customer meetings.
• Prepare manpower plans and coordinate client inspections.

• Handling the Commissioning Co-ordination with OEM and sub-contractor
• Preparing the method of statement for testing and SAT report as per the IEC

• Clarification and resolving of technical issues during testing

• Attending technical meetings with customer end user for project scope of work and clarification
• Reviewing and coordinating with other departments for the smooth progress of testing plan
• Coordinating with subordinates for smooth progress of testing activities
• Clarifying the client inquiry with the support of manufacturer on time
• Preparation of project wise manpower plan
• Coordination during client inspection

Education & Experience

Graduate in Electrical/Mechanical Engg, having not less than 15 yrs experience.

Ability to control Environmental, Safety, Health and Ethics during the testing and commissioning phases of the project.

Must take full responsibility for his operation as per the job description and the required deliverables from this position, taking into consideration the general company guidelines.

Able to anticipate problems and make the necessary proactive steps to prevent them.

Ability to take necessary and proper timely decisions.

Ability to conduct site commissioning inspections.

Ability to conduct site safety inspections during testing and commissioning.
