Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced professional to oversee commissioning activities for large projects. You will lead teams through planning, testing, and coordination with OEMs and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to IEC and IEEE standards.

The role requires extensive experience in electrical or mechanical commissioning, strong decision-making, and proactive risk mitigation on site. Excellent stakeholder communication is essential for successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Must have 15+ years of experience in testing and commissioning.
• Ability to control Environmental, Safety, Health and Ethics during testing and commissioning phases.
• Must take full responsibility for operation as per job description and deliverables, anticipating problems proactively.
• Ability to take necessary and proper timely decisions.

Responsibilities

• Team management in project planning, execution, resources allocation, troubleshooting and customer interaction.
• Preparing commissioning plans including Cold and Hot commissioning and commissioning close out.
• Handling commissioning coordination with OEM and sub-contractor.
• Preparing method of statement for testing and SAT report per IEC & IEEE standards.
• Clarification and resolution of technical issues during testing and commissioning.
• Attending technical meetings with customer/end user for project scope and clarifications.
• Reviewing and coordinating with other departments for testing plan progress.
• Coordinating with subordinates for smooth progress of testing activities.
• Clarifying client inquiries with support of manufacturer on time.
• Preparation of project-wise manpower plan.
• Coordination during client inspection.

• Preparing Commissioning plans in sections like Cold commissioning start up, Hot commissioning & commissioning close out.
• Handling the Commissioning Co-ordination with OEM and sub-contractor.
• Preparing the method of statement for testing and SAT report as per the IEC & IEEE standards.

• Must take full responsibility for his operation as per the job description and the required deliverables from this position, taking into consideration the general company guidelines. Able to anticipate problems and make the necessary proactive steps to prevent them.
• Ability to take necessary and proper timely decisions.
• Ability to conduct site commissioning inspections.
• Ability to conduct site safety inspections during testing and commissioning.
