Job summary

Position Summary

iTech Engineering Consultancy is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior BIM Engineer – Civil & Infrastructure to support the delivery of complex infrastructure and civil engineering projects across the UAE and GCC.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing BIM models, producing project deliverables, conducting quality reviews, and supporting multidisciplinary coordination activities. The role requires strong expertise in Civil 3D, BIM workflows, infrastructure design coordination, and digital project delivery.

This position is suited for professionals with a minimum of 4 years of BIM experience who can independently manage discipline‑specific BIM production and provide technical guidance to BIM Engineers and Modelers.

Key Responsibilities

BIM Modeling & Project Delivery

• Develop, maintain, and manage BIM models for civil and infrastructure projects including roads, highways, utilities, drainage networks, grading, earthworks, and site development works.
• Produce high-quality BIM deliverables, drawings, schedules, quantities, sections, profiles, and reports in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery of BIM outputs while maintaining compliance with project standards and client requirements.
• Support design development and project delivery throughout various project stages.

Technical Review & Quality Assurance

• Perform model reviews and quality checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company BIM standards.
• Verify BIM deliverables before submission to project teams and clients.
• Maintain adherence to naming conventions, model structures, Level of Development (LOD) requirements, and project BIM protocols.
• Identify and resolve technical modeling issues and workflow challenges.

Discipline Coordination Support

• Coordinate Civil & Infrastructure models with Structural, Architectural, MEP, Landscape, and Utility disciplines.
• Participate in coordination meetings and model review workshops.
• Support clash detection activities and assist in resolving discipline-specific coordination issues.
• Collaborate with BIM Coordinators to ensure successful integration of models within the project environment.

Team Support & Continuous Improvement

• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to BIM Engineers and BIM Modelers.
• Share best practices, standards, and lessons learned across project teams.
• Assist in developing BIM templates, workflows, libraries, and project standards.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of BIM processes and digital delivery methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of BIM experience in Civil & Infrastructure projects.
• Experience in roads, highways, utilities, drainage, grading, transportation, or municipal infrastructure projects.
• UAE/GCC project experience is required.
• Strong understanding of BIM standards, workflows, and project delivery processes.
