Job summary

Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician to support daily Engineering operations with preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and general building services.

You will perform inspections, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs in guestrooms, public areas, meeting spaces and plant rooms, while maintaining safety standards and accurate maintenance records.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong communication and collaborative skills are essential.
• Flexible and proactive approach to varying maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting and general building services.
• Conduct regular inspections, testing, and basic troubleshooting of hotel equipment and systems.
• Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance across guestrooms, public areas, meeting rooms, back-of-house areas and Engineering plant rooms.
• Respond promptly to guest and departmental maintenance requests and ensure issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption.
• Attend equipment breakdowns and maintenance emergencies, escalating major issues to the Engineering Supervisor or Manager.
• Carry out basic repairs to guestrooms, fixtures, furniture, lighting, plumbing, air-conditioning, doors and other building elements.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, equipment issues and completed repairs.
• Follow all hotel, Hilton, Engineering, health and safety, fire/life safety, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe and organised condition.
