Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. seeks a seasoned project coordinator for major elevator installation initiatives in Abu Dhabi. You will manage pre-installation activities, plan deliveries, and coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams to meet schedules.

You will ensure safety, document control, and timely reporting while aligning with the project manager and supply chain. Proficiency in English and Chinese is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of elevator industry experience.
• Fluent in English and Chinese.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment.
• Self-motivated with ability to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
• Comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft-based software.

Responsibilities

• Manage all pre-installation works.
• Plan material deliveries with factory and supply chain.
• Monitor shaft readiness and dimensions per approved shop drawings.
• Plan resources to meet contractual requirements.
• Award purchase orders for sub-contractors and local materials with PM and supply chain.
• Coordinate with main contractors, architects and consultants on project requirements.
• Oversee shop drawings, technical submittals, material samples, method statements and I&T plans.
• Plan logistics for safe, timely deliveries inside building premises.
• Submit daily/weekly/monthly reports as required.
• Attend weekly or bi-weekly meetings with main contractor.
• Advise on scope deviations and book variation orders.
• Coordinate elevators with Low Voltage interfaces.
• Ensure adequate resources during installation (staff, tools).
• Raise Material Inspection Requests on deliveries.
• Maintain records/communication with MC and PM.
• Track installation progress using MS Projects/Primavera/Excel.
• Plan risk assessments before hoisting and other critical activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure safety.
• Raise trouble reports for missing/short/defective materials.
• Support installation teams on issues.
• Ensure manuals/drawings are available at all times.
• Coordinate with supply chain on material availability.
• Ensure QA/QC per procedures.
• Ensure testing and commissioning plans and adjustors are in place.
• Ensure readiness of construction time usage.
• Complete low voltage interfaces to elevator systems on time.
• Submit monthly interim payment applications and follow up payments.
• Carry out third-party inspections as required.
• Handover units to customers per policy.
