Role Context

The Electrical Engineer - Infrastructure Systems will provide technical leadership across design review, construction supervision, authority coordination, and electrical infrastructure delivery. The role combines engineering analysis with practical site knowledge, supporting projects that require close alignment with DEWA, RTA, Dubai Municipality, consultants, contractors, and client representatives. A key part of the position is ensuring that electrical drawings, calculations, technical submissions, and installation packages are properly developed before authority review. The engineer will also help maintain approval records, resolve coordination issues, guide junior technical staff, and monitor execution of LV and HV works through to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and supervise electrical engineering deliverables in accordance with project quality requirements.
  • Define technical scope, establish work priorities, and support preparation of schedules and budgets.
  • Produce and review engineering calculations, drawings, technical reports, procurement documents, and installation packages.
  • Prepare detailed analyses and technical documentation required for electrical infrastructure works.
  • Provide engineering direction to CAD Designer-Drafters, Designers, and junior engineers.
  • Support multidisciplinary engineering activities and coordinate interfaces with other project disciplines.
  • Review electrical drawings and designs before submission to DEWA for approval.
  • Verify compliance with DEWA procedures, regulations, standards, and submission requirements.
  • Coordinate with contractors and DEWA to progress approvals and resolve technical comments.
  • Maintain structured records of authority submissions, correspondence, approvals, and project documentation.
  • Ensure contractor responsibilities remain clearly maintained unless formally modified through client authorization.
  • Coordinate execution of LV and HV electrical works with DEWA and contractors.
  • Monitor construction activities to confirm alignment with approved electrical designs and authority requirements.
  • Liaise with RTA, Dubai Municipality, DEWA, consultants, contractors, and client representatives when required.
  • Review technical proposals and support evaluation of contractor or supplier submissions.
  • Provide engineering input on design and installation issues arising during project execution.
  • Support procurement activities by reviewing technical requirements and engineering documentation.
  • Monitor engineering progress and provide clear status reporting to project management.
  • Lead electrical engineering activities on small or intermediate-size assignments when designated.
  • Supervise junior personnel where assigned and provide technical guidance on performance and work quality.
  • Use CAD and engineering software to support design review, coordination, and documentation activities.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
Ideal Profile

Candidates should hold a Bachelor 's degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution. An Engineer-in-Training certificate may be required depending on project requirements. A minimum of 15 years of professional experience is expected, particularly involving construction management and supervision of building and infrastructure works. The role requires substantial knowledge of Dubai authority procedures and electrical infrastructure delivery. Candidates should demonstrate:
