Job summary

SYSTRA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design and production of electrical systems for major infrastructure projects in Dubai. You will coordinate with MEP, architectural and civil teams, review designs, and ensure compliance with Dubai/UAE regulations and international standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in electrical design for metro rail or large infrastructure.
• Experience with Dubai regulatory requirements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Leading the design and production in addition to the coordination and review.
• Reviewing and coordinating the design and implementation of lighting, power distribution, Fire alarm,Emergency lighting, Earthing and Lightning protection, ELV systems, ensuring compliance with Dubai/UAE and international standards.
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with MEP, architectural, and civil works, and manages interface with other disciplines.
• Prepares and reviews technical documentation, calculation notes, cable schedules, shop drawings.

Electrical Engineer

Missions/Main Duties

• Leading the design and production in addition to the coordination and review.
• Responsible for reviewing and coordinating the design and implementation of lighting, power distribution, Fire alarm,Emergency lighting, Earthing and Lightning protection,ELV systems, ensuring compliance with Dubai/UAE, CIBSE,international standards (e.g., IEC, BS, DEWA,DCD, etc.).
• Coordinates with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems with MEP, architectural, and civil works, and manages interface with others disciplines. HVAC, Fire fighting, Dewtaring, Escalator/Elevator and power supply systems.
• Prepares and reviews technical documentation, calculation notes, cable schedules, shop drawings

Profile/Skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Relevant certifications and experiences with Duabi regulatory requirements are an advantage

Profile & Background:

• Minimum 12 years of experience in the design, of electrical systems, preferably on metro rail or large infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Software knowledge on ETAP/Amtech/Dialux/Relux and Review knowledge on Revit/Navisworks.
• Strong knowledge of medium/low voltage distribution, lighting controls, electrical load calculations, and local authority approval processes is required.
• Successful track record on rail and metro project.
• Ability to lead, develop and motivate a team
