Job summary

Target Engineering Construction Co LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver major Oil & Gas EPC projects in the UAE. You will design electrical systems, review drawings and vendor documents, and coordinate with civil, marine, and instrumentation teams to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.

You will lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical equipment, oversee installation and testing, and provide technical operations support with strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Master's degree or additional specialization is an advantage.
• Professional Engineering certification, Chartered Engineer status, PMP, or equivalent certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
• Experience working on large-scale multidisciplinary projects.
• Proficiency in engineering and project management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical system designs, including single-line diagrams, load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment selection.
• Conduct feasibility studies, design reviews, and technical evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with IEC, NEC, client specifications, and applicable international standards.
• Review electrical drawings, vendor documents, and engineering deliverables.
• Oversee installation activities related to power distribution systems, lighting, earthing, and instrumentation cabling.
• Monitor site execution to ensure quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and construction teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and adherence to approved drawings.
• Lead pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, motors, MCCs, control panels, and associated systems.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions during commissioning. Prepare commissioning reports, test records, and handover documentation.
• Provide technical support for operation and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Investigate electrical failures, identify root causes, and recommend corrective measures.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives to improve system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and process engineering teams.
• Coordinate with project management, clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical recommendations to support project objectives.
• Ensure all electrical activities comply with company HSE policies and industry safety standards.
• Maintain accurate technical records, inspection reports, and engineering documentation.
• Support audits, inspections, and implementation of corrective actions where required.

Target Engineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our growing team and support the successful delivery of major Oil & Gas EPC projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electrical engineering design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance within large-scale industrial projects.

This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across civil, marine, power, and oil & gas projects while ensuring all electrical systems are delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project and industry standards.

YOUR ROLE

As a Electrical Engineer, you will have the following key responsibilities including but not limited to:

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Experience

6-8 years of experience in electrical engineering within Oil & Gas, EPC, power, marine, plant, or heavy industrial projects.

Proven experience managing electrical engineering activities from design through commissioning.

Education / Training / Certifications
