Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking a Site Engineer Electrical PV in Abu Dhabi to lead on-site electrical activities for a large-scale solar project. The role focuses on safe, compliant, and high-quality electrical installation execution across the site.

You will collaborate with civil, mechanical and project management teams to integrate electrical systems with overall construction plans, manage subcontractors, and ensure timely delivery while maintaining HSE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 6-12 years in electrical engineering with at least 3 years in solar PV.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in large-scale solar power plants.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all electrical engineering activities on-site, including supervising the installation of electrical systems.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Work closely with civil, mechanical and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project framework.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation of electrical components.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and promote a culture of safety on the site.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the project manager on the status of electrical installations.
• Identify potential electrical issues early and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with local regulations, industry standards and project specifications.
• Liaise with local authorities as required to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
