Job summary

Larsen & Toubro's Solar division seeks a Site Manager - Electrical (PV) to lead all electrical installations on a major PV site in Abu Dhabi. You will supervise on-site works, coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure execution on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.

You will implement quality control, conduct inspections, manage costs, and support commissioning with the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical works on-site, including PV modules, inverters, transformers, cabling, and switchgear.
• Act as primary on-site contact for electrical activities, coordinating with project managers, engineers, subcontractors and stakeholders.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure installations meet standards and project requirements.
• Enforce safety culture on-site and ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards.
• Track progress against project schedule and implement corrective actions for delays.
• Provide technical guidance to the on-site team and support commissioning with the engineering team.
• Monitor and control costs to stay within budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Job Summary

The Site Manager - Electrical (PV) will be responsible for managing and supervising all electrical installations and activities at the solar PV site, ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with all technical and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all electrical works on-site, including the installation of PV modules, inverters, transformers, cabling, and switchgear. Ensure that all activities are executed as per the project plan and specifications.
• Act as the primary point of contact on-site for all electrical-related activities. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and smooth execution of the project.
• Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure all electrical installations meet industry standards and project requirements. Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify compliance and address any issues promptly.
• Enforce a strict safety culture on-site, ensuring that all electrical works are carried out in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Conduct safety briefings and ensure that all team members and subcontractors adhere to safety protocols.
• Track the progress of electrical installations against the project schedule. Identify any delays or deviations and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
• Provide technical guidance and support to the on-site team. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during installation and commissioning, working closely with the engineering team to resolve them effectively.
• Monitor and control costs associated with electrical works, ensuring that all activities are completed within the allocated budget. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
