Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Site Engineer Electrical (PV) to oversee all electrical on-site activities for a large-scale solar project. You will ensure safe, efficient, and compliant installation of electrical systems in line with design specs and UAE regulations.

You will collaborate with civil, mechanical, and project teams, coordinate with subcontractors, manage permits, and report progress to the project manager while maintaining a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 6–12 years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 3 years in solar PV projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems in large-scale solar power plants.

This role is crucial in supporting the construction of our large-scale solar power plant, making sure all electrical installations meet design specifications and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all Electrical engineering activities on-site manage and supervise the installation of electrical systems, including inverters, transformers, cabling, PV panel and grid connections
• Ensure all electrical work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Work closely with civil, mechanical, and project management teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project framework.
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and installation of electrical components.
• Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and promote a culture of safety on the site.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to the project manager on the status of electrical installations.
• Identify potential electrical issues early and develop effective solutions to keep the project on track.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with local regulations, industry standards, and project specifications.
• Liaise with local authorities as required to ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
